Recently, heard of 2 such cases.
Somebody I know told me that they kenna pressurised by HDB to sell their flat in the open market or else HDB would buy it back at HDB's valuation price.
During such a difficult time, when more and more Singaporeans are out of job, in debts. Instead of getting a helping him from our govt. HDB is pressurising these poor souls. Their actions would put these poor souls in a deeper shit position and mental stresses.
These loan defaulters, after selling off their flats and paying off the arrears to HDB, there is practically nothing much left from the proceeds.
Whatever withdrawn from CPF for the flat would have to pay back with interests.
So, some may not even able to buy a 3-room flat.
Some may be made homeless.
Some may even have to find cash to top up the shortfall.
Wonder why during such a difficult time, HDB is pressuring these people
