The sacrifice of the lamb (animal) in God's name. It gives testimony to his submission to God and to His power of life or death over all creatures. After the korban we distribute the meat to the poor.

Haha...even Aidal Fitri....we called it Hari Raya puasa. Raya means big celebration. Indonesian called it Lebaran. Just how the local called it. Slmt Hari Raya Idul Fitri or Hari Raya Idul Adha.

Do not misunderstand the word sacrifice when it comes to Haji.
The sacrifice in other religions tend to mean killing to appease god. Allah does not need appeasement or in need of anything. It gives him no benefit whatsoever happens in his creation. He is Absolute.
So that is far from the concept of sacrifice in islam, where it is he, the individual, that sacrifices his assets under orders by Allah to share his wealth with the poor in remembrance of Prophet Ibrahim's ultimate sunmission to Allah.

There is actually a reason they are doing that, walking about in their best clothes during the days of both eid (fitr and haji).
It is encouraged by the prophet to do so to demonstrate to the public (non muslim) our victory over our desires and selfishness.To be proud of what we have achieved.
Call it a parade. Or call it a show off. But it is ultimately to be proud of the fact that you overcome fasting 30 days in quiet obedience (fitr) and 9 days of dzulhijjah and give up your assets (sheep, camel, goat, cattle) to be shared by all (haji).
