Former Olympic diver Guo Jingjing, who recently married Kenneth Fok, the grandson of the late Hong Kong tycoon Henry Fok, has apparently undergone plastic surgery. Internet users have commented that her face has become longer and her eyes bigger compared to old photos dug out by the Beijing-based news website Guangmingwang.
The old photos show a girl with small eyes without folds on the eyelids and a face as round as a pancake.
Guo Jingjing was born in 1981 in Baoding, Hebei province. She won four gold medals and two silver medals in three Olympics between 2000 and 2008 and 10 gold medals at five consecutive World Championships on the 3-meter springboard and synchronized springboard diving. During her 14 years as a diver on the national team, she won 31 championships for China's diving team and became the most decorated female athlete in the country's history. She announced her retirement last year.
In her early years, her name was associated with fellow diver Tian Liang, and together the "Liang Jingjing, (Bling Bling)" combination was regarded as a match made in heaven.
However, in 2004, when Guo Jingjing attended a series of events for a luxury brand in Shanghai, she was seen with Kenneth Fok by Hong Kong reporters. At that time, she was supposedly in a relationship with Tian Liang, while Fok was still with his then girlfriend. In the meantime, it was reported Tian Liang had another girlfriend, but Tian never confirmed the rumors. Over time, however, his relationship with Guo deteriorated.
