A male Chinese national, 51, was arrested on Mar. 17 for his suspected involvement in a case of theft onboard an aeroplane.

The Singapore Police Force said it was alerted to an alleged theft on a flight en route to Singapore on Mar. 17 at around 12:20am.

A passenger saw the man allegedly take a bag from the overhead bin while the victim was away from their seat.

The man brought the bag to his seat and rummaged through it.

The passenger also saw the man hide the victim's belongings in his jacket before returning the bag to the overhead compartment.

The passenger then alerted the victim of the suspected theft.

Upon checking his belongings, the victim discovered that a credit card, S$200 and RM100 (S$29.93), was missing from his wallet.

Once the plane landed at Changi Airport, the victim disembarked the plane and searched for the man based on the passenger's description while calling the police.

He eventually located the man within the transit area, and officers from the Airport Police Division arrested him.

The man will be charged in court on Mar. 18, and if found guilty of theft, he could face three years imprisonment, a fine, or both.

The police also provided a reminder to members of the public to protect themselves from being victims of crime on board an aircraft, saying:

"Members of the public are advised to adopt the following crime prevention measures:

  • Keep your cash or valuables with you at all times instead of placing them inside the overhead luggage compartments;

  • Be wary and keep a lookout for passengers who are seen opening up overhead compartments, retrieving baggage, and rummaging through them during the flight; and

  • Alert the cabin crew immediately of such suspicious behaviour

Then he could be a 公公 … must check if the castration was properly done.

The thief is a foreigner. So just a stern warning will do.

If he is a local dumb sinkie, he will be given maximum punishment and be banned from traveling for life.

Sinkies are fucked

Why can't these thieves work in baggage handling? Not lucrative enough?

Don't be so nativist. According to PAPPY and Tan Shit Leng new work permit rules, the guy is considered Foreign Talent, probably has his work permit approved in advance already.

Chinese got 虛歲, his real age is 49, born in 1976.

I suspect it's a CCP Eastern Deport 'K' 字輩,官拜四品.

Why the victim dare not confront the man inside the plane?
Is it becos he afraid the man will turn hostile and hijack the plane?
But if so, why can't he follow him closely during the exit and need to search for him later?
Or is it becos the passenger afraid the thief will hijack the plane and only informed him after the plane has landed and everyone disembarked?
But if so, why the victim never tell that passenger why you so kiasi and yet still so kaypoh?:cool:

Tiagong the man appeared like a 娘炮,so the victim surmised that the man might have mastered the deadly skills in 葵花寶典, a kungfu invented by a Ming Dynasty eunuch.

My friend working in SIA said there is no secret in SIA to detect China criminals.

In their programming system, only limited sections are opened to China customers during seat reservation.

Usually China citizens are allocated among 1 or 2 clusters in the airplane (except those business and first class passengers)

Once seats are confirmed, SIA stewards are briefed before the flights.

Their particulars are already shared with Law enforcers.

However these particulars are not activated.

They are only activated or active once Sia reported the passengers to police.

So that is why now so many China passengers are being identified and arrested.

China passengers are already earmarked and targeted before flights started

In order words, it is not easy to steal eat or commit crime in SIA flights

But he could have told the victim once the plane has landed and when passengers were disembarking, instead of until when the thief has disappeared.

I think that passenger doesn't want the thief to know he is the 1 that alerted the victim. A very kiasi yet kaypoh behaviour.

Can't blame also.
