Gruesome find in ceiling
Grim discovery: The room where Ken’s body was found by the shop worker in Teluk Intan.
TELUK INTAN: The decomposing body of an accessory shop owner was found in the ceiling of his shop along Jalan Changkat Jong here.
Hilir Perak police chief Asst Comm Goh Kok Liang said Ken Yong Siang's (pic) body was discovered by one of his workers on Sunday at about 10.45pm.
“The worker had smelt a strong stench coming from the toilet in the shop and found his employer's body,” he said.
ACP Goh said the victim was believed to have been slashed in the neck and right shoulder.
“The body has been sent to the Raja Permaisuri Bainun Hospital in Ipoh for post-mortem.
“We have yet to determine the motive behind the attack and are still looking for the weapon,” he said, adding that police have classified the case under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder.
ACP Goh also said two youths, age 17 and 18, who worked for Ken, were picked up at the Low Cost Carrier Terminal in Sepang yesterday to facilitate investigations.
The duo, he said, had been missing from work prior to the gruesome find.
