MAKKAL Osai reported of a man who became a last-minute groom when his brother went missing on the eve of his wedding day. The paper reported that Dilli Baskar, 29, was supposed to marry T. Vijalakshmi, 21, on Sunday in Tiruvottriyur in North Chennai. During a wedding reception the night before, the bridegroom left the hall, reportedly for a facial. When the families of both sides failed to contact or locate him, they asked the groom’s younger brother Purushothaman, 21, to marry the girl. He agreed and the wedding went ahead without incident. A police report was later lodged against Dilli.
