NEW DELHI: Singapore will from October 27 again allow certain categories of visitors from India and five other southeast Asian countries subject to certain conditions. Travellers from these countries will be subjected to the tightest of border measures, which involve a 10-day, stay-home notice period at a dedicated facility.
"Currently, travellers with travel history to all countries/regions except Bangladesh, India, Myanmar, Nepal, Pakistan and Sri Lanka are allowed to enter through these lanes. From October 26, 2021, 11.59 pm, travellers from Bangladesh, India, Myanmar, Nepal, Pakistan and Sri Lanka who have received entry approvals will be allowed to enter Singapore. These travellers will be subject to Category IV border measure," a Singapore government agency website says.
"We had previously announced that all travellers with a 14-day travel history to Bangladesh, India, Myanmar, Nepal, Pakistan and Sri Lanka will not be allowed to enter or transit through Singapore. We have reviewed the Covid-19 situation in these countries, and all travellers with a 14-day travel history to Bangladesh, India, Myanmar, Nepal, Pakistan and Sri Lanka prior to departure to Singapore will be allowed to enter and transit through Singapore from 26 October 26, 2021, 11.59 pm. These travellers will be subject to Category IV border measures."
