A GrabHitch passenger who fell into a deep sleep in a car ride home in the early hours of the morning woke up to find her head resting in her driver’s lap.

The carpooling service driver Muhammad Fauzi Salleh had spent an hour at the car park of the 22-year-old victim’s HDB block, squeezing her breast, grabbing her buttocks, and even rubbing his private parts against her face.

After a 10-day trial last year, the 30-year-old driver was on Friday (February 1) sentenced to 15 months’ jail having earlier been convicted of molesting his passenger.
