The number of Indian and Bangladeshi workers gathering in Little India area is a Covid-19 disaster waiting to happen. The authorities aren't even doing anything to prevent gatherings of such large number of workers on Sunday. This will surely backfire. It only takes an infected Indian or Bangladeshi worker to spread and it will become a huge cluster in no time. The economic ramifications will be immense given the reliance on such foreign workers for the economy.

I urge the proper authorities to do their job. Prevention is certainly better than cure.

The PAP government had already been exposed to be negligent in allowing the Safra Jurong cluster to develop into the biggest cluster of Covid-19 cases in Singapore today. They obviously miscalculated the risks by not ensuring that People's Association and Resident Committees cancel or postpone such large gatherings of humans where the hazards of mass transmission is high. This is gross negligence..

If they still do not take preventive action to stop all these Indian and Bangladeshi workers from mass gatherings in Little India, all of us will head to a mass outbreak disaster like South Korea.

How to enforce is a bigger question and nightmare than passing your proposed regulation. To date, they can't even stop these ahnehs from littering, jaywalking and making a nuisance of themselves in Little India. I often advise my foreigner friends to avoid that area on weekends. It's a No Go as a tourist to visit that place on weekends.
