When Pinky, the senior ministar (promoted from prime ministar), made such feel-good platitudes (Americans call them motherhood statements), Sinkies should know that the general elections are in the horizon.
He didn't give specifics as to what aspects of the lives of Sinkies will be improved nor how they can be achieved and when.
However, one thing is for sure: the improvements that Pinky promised require hundreds of millions of dollars. And the funds will come from Sinkies' pockets via GST increases and other forms of taxes.
Pinky's expenses and those of his minions (a.k.a. coterie of ministars) will be paid for by the state a.k.a. taxpayers' money. Examples of such expenses include chauffeur-driven cars, 24/7 bodyguards, tax-free accommodation, tax-free remunerations, meals, PUB bills, vacations abroad, clothes (and for Pinky, pink shirts, pink socks; pink underwear is on special order from Ah Tiong land and flown to Sinkieland in diplomatic bags) etc.
