Gov announced decision to freeze land sales brought cheer to developers esp MR Simon Cheong.
This directly/indirectly supports the bubble prices of 2007, while the rest of the worlds' ppty decline to more sane levels. Speculators are rightly being punished.
But not here in spore; Gov only likes to see prices go up up up.
This means that new generation/young sporeans/peasants have no choice but to pay inflated prices for their homes while developers enjoy multi-mil $ profits.
No wonder many sporeans emigrate, refuse to marry or refuse to have children.
Contrast: property in US like the San Francisco Bay area cheaper than our HDB flats!!! Landed and freehold!!
