STOMPer Oliver is saddened by the untidy state of the once beautiful pond in Tampines Park. The pond was built in the late 90s in an effort to beautify the town of Tampines and the STOMPer feels that both the Town Council and the residents should do their part in bringing its beauty back again.

He wrote:

"I remember that back in late 90s, in an effort to further beautify the town of Tampines, a pond was built in Tampines Park (opposite Tampines Primary School).

"Residents as well as students could enjoy a peaceful scenery when they go to the park to exercise or simply relax.

"Unfortunately, the pond has been abused over the years and now, instead of beautifying the place, it makes the place almost unbearable to look at.

"The Town Council and the residents should do their part in bringing back the beauty of Tampines Park, else it won't be long before Tampines goes back to its '3rd Town' status."
