STOMPer jay park spotted this old man begging at a Lavender coffeeshop and was shocked at the scene. 'Do these things still happen in Singapore?' he questioned.

In an email sent to STOMP, the STOMPer wrote:

"I spotted this man who was begging in the Lavender area.

"He was asking people for money at the coffee shop.

"This kind of scene should not happen in Singapore.

"I was shocked to see beggars still around in Singapore. And in the Lavender area, there are many people who are homeless.

"What are the government doing to help these homeless and helpless elderly?"
