even though gopalan is in jail, he has proven his cause.

he has proven un-doubtly like others before, that the judicial is complaint to the executive with regards to politics, the old man is still calling the shots and the integrity of the judiciary is subjected to question.

anybody who wanted to be in his position had realized that they will be subjected to monetary penalties and jail term, for they have prepared to speak up for their beliefs.

it is interesting that lky has fallen into his trap, with his entire state resources available to him, he has to deal with one single helpless person without much support, has proven the blatant abuse of authority.

what lky did not stamp the flow of accusations against him, in fact, have made people to become bolder in criticising the govt. and the judicial system.

any tom dick or harry will not argue with the semantics of gopalan's accusations, but infact will look at the broader perspective of persistent political suppression in the country.

and the judgement of his case, and many before him had re-affirmed this belief.

in fact gopalan is the winner of his actions, not lky.

That may be the case, but the lives and well being of Singaporeans has not been improved, which should be the ultimate goal and objective of all these.
In terms of courage, perhaps the sdp supporters like gopalan nick it. In terms of tenacity, perhaps it is a tie. But in terms of smartness and achieving objectives, I'm afraid that the pap under lky is far ahead.
In my opinion, the answer is still to put out strong teams during the elections and capture a grc as soon as possible. Get the people into parliament and make the government accountable for everything they do or don't do.
