Here is a link to an article that is very relevant to locals and it is not long winded or aimed at foreigners. A change from the usual tact.
They however have a way to go as they keep putting foreign western articles on their web which mostly does not interest locals.

At last the most vibrant party in Singapore is finally learning to reach out to the citizens - that group who truly matter.
Dr Chee is indeed bull-headed, but when a bull charges in the right direction - watch out, dear citizens - barriers will be broken peacefully and lawfully, good things will be achieved.
It is also absolutely high time that viable alternatives are coming forth and such discussions keep within the ambit of the law, allow people to reflect and ponder on the value of having such issues brought up.
In time, even their solutions will be in line with the public's expectations.
And that is when the 66% plus the added citizenry starts to give SDP the time of the day.

Yes, and we need all the firepower. Chee's firepower when well directed is awesome.
He however needs to get rid of some dinosaurs and deadwood like Ghandi who is an embarrasement, bringing up 1959, 1962 stories with no relevance.
Chee is an extermely articulate person with a great deal of intellect.
If he can accept taking a back seat and supporting the opposition from the background particularly in developing candidates and ideas, the opposition will be a force to be reckoned with.
