StarHub upgrades broadband

The telco will be progressively upgrading its mobile broadband network to the dual carrier frequency technology which will allow for data download speed of up to 42.2Mbps, double the maximum speed on the current network. 'StarHub is excited that it will soon be able to manage even larger volumes of data traffic and continue to support the highest HSPA speeds available in Singapore, to meet the growing demand for broadband access on the move,' said Peter Cook, Starhub's vice-president of integrated network engineering on Tuesday. With the implementation of the network upgrade, Starhub has become the first mobile operator in Southeast Asia to deploy the dual carrier technology. The upgrade to its mobile broadband network is expected to be fully completed by the third quarter of this year, said a statement from StarHub.

Yes, seems like good news. I am using SinTel's mobile BB, need help this morning, so called 1688, after waiting for 7 minutes, a young man voice came on, and I told him I got questions for mobile BB, and he told me I need to call 1688.... and what was the number I dialed?? 1688!!!!! Nahbeh!

Singtel is like that. 7 min to get thru service line is consider very good. I have tried few time on average 15 min to get some one to speak to me. Sometime even worst more than 30 min.
What i hate is Fucking .....bla bla bla on advertisement keep on repeating when you are waiting on the line.

Dude, I dialed 1688 and the guy from Sintel told me I NEED to dial 1688! What the fuck is going wrong, they tiao kang say I dial wrong number?

They ENHANCED it by adding a few more seconds to your waiting time by telling you 1688 is enhanced. :rolleyes:

i remember asking them to cancel my houseline many years back, that fucker on the phone refuse citing all kinds of silly technical reasons why is it not possible. i got fed up and fuck him back,

eg.

he tried to smoke me saying my internet connection will be cancelled. My reply: i am a starhub cable user. YET HE INSIST IT WILL AFFECT MY INTERNET CONNECTION. saying cable also uses phoneline. this is where i lose my cool and start to fuck him as i know he is trying taking me as an idiot;

"we are the one now who do not wish your services anymore who the fuck are you forcing me to want it?"
there are many other silly excuses he gave thinking all the customers are technologically stupid but it happened too many years ago so i had forgotten most of it. but this remains the most vivid.

anyone working in singtel pls look into the fucking quality of your call centre. is lying part of the tactic you guys encourage your call personnel to do?

Perhaps he just woke up at his desk and thought he was at home.

They are probably hoping that you are using a prepaid or by-the-minute postpaid line of theirs when you call them.
Making you wait will add to their revenue.
