Then you get a MINISTAR, senior or otherwise that's 60 years and above to be a waiter/waitress for 8 hours a day.

Lastly, get them to take buses/MRTs at peak periods to work.

Then you talk down to Singaporeans. We are not an unreasonable bunch. When MINISTARS do we also do.

when i saw your posted article... i knew it is another u-turn and betrayal by the pap... remember the pap said the foreigners in singapore act as a buffer for any economic up-down... that they can be release easily if there is any retrenchment...

now we have a pap minister saying it is bad for singaporeans if foreigners are retrenched first...

let me tell you the real reason... the pap is using foreigners as cheap labor and forcing singaporeans into a sweat shop situation (long hours, low wages)... so the pap can continue to demand high rental... fees... indirect expenses of businesses... the more you people sweat.. the more pap "get"...

The pap have been talking about upgrading and high-value jobs... the bullshit that any consultant can dish out... so now the pap is asking the people to go into less-value jobs...

If somebody breaks the social contract... you mean the people must remain quiet ??? to rub salt into wound... the pap increases their own salaries for a good job of propaganda but not solving the problem...
