In the first of a two-part discussion historian Thum Ping Tjin ("PJ") explains how Goh Keng Swee, in 1972, foresaw the economic crisis that Singapore finds itself in today, but was unable to address it because the PAP could not come up with a solution that both addressed the problem and also kept the PAP in power. PJ shows how PAP politicians since then, from Goh Chok Tong, to Lee Hsien Loong, to Tharman Shanmugaratnam, have all declared their intent to fix the problem and then made the problem worse. PJ also updates Singapore on the status of POFMA’ed.

A better way to move forward maybe is WEF championed theme….but it need a well coverage social security net and need investment on AI and robotic to maintain the high level productivity and creativity advantage so that SG can afford to stay at high end tip of global supply chain
