Chelsea v Napoli: goalkeeper Petr Cech believes Roberto di Matteo's side 'can turn it around' at Stamford Bridge

Petr Cech, the Chelsea goalkeeper, has said Napoli have the advantage over Roberto di Matteo's side ahead of their Champions League last-16 second leg at Stamford Bridge tonight.

Re: Goalkeeper Petr Cech believes Roberto di Matteo's side 'can turn it around' at St

Petr Cech should keep his CB shut and let his hands do the talking.

Drogba can score, but the CB Kia Cech has been letting in goals like a pichak condom. As long as Cech keep letting in goals, there is no way Chelsea can turn it around. The Chelsea can turn around and look into the eyes of the CB Kia Cech whenever he goes to the back of the net to pick up ball.

Re: Goalkeeper Petr Cech believes Roberto di Matteo's side 'can turn it around' at St

chelsea is a like a geriatric ward of senile patients...they will never win the league for the next 3 years nor any champions league...

Chelsea v Napoli: goalkeeper Petr Cech believes Roberto di Matteo's side 'can turn it around' at Stamford Bridge

Chelsea supporters can back their team to beat Napoli in this game 2-1 or 3-2 but can Chelsea overturn the deficit against an attacking Napoli side to go into extra time and penalties or better still win by 2 clear goals, keeping a clean sheet to seal qualification to the last 8?

Yesterday i picked Inter to win by 2-1 so that Marseille will progress to the last 8 on away goal rule. :p

Re: Goalkeeper Petr Cech believes Roberto di Matteo's side 'can turn it around' at St

Chelsea must win by 2-0 or 4-1.

3-1 leads to extra time and maybe penalty shootout, it's a gamble.

If Chelsea scores first, it must keep a clean sheet and score 1 more goal to make it 2-0.

If Napoli scores first, Chelsea must score 4 goals to cancel the deficit in order to qualify for the next round.

If Napoli scores first, or equalizes to make it 1-1, or scores one while Chelsea is happily 2-0 up, then I think it's game over for Chelsea.

So, Chelsea must guard its goal like a father guarding his young daughter's virginity. Can't let Cavani, Lavezzi etc deflower her.

Though Chelsea is on home ground at Stamford Bridge, what I fear is David Luiz screwing up at a critical moment, e.g. Chelsea leading 2-0 with less than 10 minutes left before final whistle, and he slips, allowing Napoli to score. Mr Luiz can be quite crazy at times, with adventurous dribbling in front of goal, late tackles, or playing like a winger and rushing forward.

It's 3 -1 for Chelsea, Frank Lampard having scored from penalty spot.

If it stays like this, blame that Cech CB Kia who was caught napping in between the poles.

Better not go into penalties because IMO De Sanctis is the better keeper. :D

Unbelievable ! Mission accomplished for Chelsea. But poor Torres cut a forlorn figure. At the final whistle, everyone was celebrating except Torres. He was unmoved when Di Matteo jumped on him and hugged him.

Di Matteo is not going to earn his permanent stay as main coach next season unless he can deliver Roman the trophy because Roman wants someone with world class proven success.

If Chelsea draw Barcelona, Real Madrid or Bayern Munich - they have no chance.

The only way to beat Barca and RM is to do what some Spanish clubs have been able to do. Play ugly to win with 9-0-1 or 4-6-0 formation. :D

About Napoli

Chelsea's old guards saved the day. Napoli always stretches their key players for near 90 mins in important games. They don't have a vast squad to choose from. Chilean youngster Vargas is still new and on loan Pandev from Inter is not first choice. How to go on like that having to cope with domestic and European fixtures without fatigue? Mazzarri made a mistake by not bringing on their reserve defender Fernandez, the one that scored two goals against Bayern Munich. Anyway thank you Napoli for making this tournament interesting by playing attacking football. :D
