[h=2]Friday, January 18, 2013[/h][h=3]Singapore. Where is our 91 year old island strongman Lee Kuan Yew [/h]

Ladies and Gentlemen,

No one should think erroneously that I have any ill will against him, but we haven't seen him for some time. I am of course talking about Lee Kuan Yew who is omnipresent like Big Brother over everything and everyone in the island every time. Now, since By Elections have been called at Punggol East, surely he would have made a presence, if his past behavior of being at the thick of anything even remotely important in the island is anything to go by. It seems however no one has seen him.

Given the fact that anyone who is 91 is not expected to be everywhere every time, like a 30 year old could, but I must say, in the case of this 91 year old, his complete absence from the scene entirely is somewhat unexpected. Why because he has too high an opinion of himself, like a delusion and megalomania, and his normal behavior should have been to oversee the entire by elections.

Although I have no real evidence, I have been told that the old dictator is in lying sick in bed in his house in . Whether this is true, his actual condition and whether it is serious or not, I cannot say.

But given the fact that no one has seen him for some time now, his absence appears especially glaring at this time of the Singapore Island By Elections at Punggol East.

As I have always said here, the passing of Lee Kuan Yew who is 91 years old now, regardless of when it happens today or years from now, will cause some serious upheaval to the political and social climate of that island. His son, whom he has placed as Prime Minister is not in my view capable of holding together this small tiny island with only 2.5 million local born and another 2.5 million foreigners. I predict, on Lee’s death, you are going to see a drain of capital and assets overseas, a flood of both locals and foreigners leaving for settlement abroad and a complete collapse of the local stock market, an upheaval serious enough that will prevent the economy from a quick recovery.

Unless the old tin pot tyrant of 91 makes some sort of appearance in public very soon, the people of that island may want to seriously consider what their plan B is going to be, once he dies and the island goes into a irrecoverable tailspin with both wings stalled.

I don't want you to say that I didn't tell you so.

Unfortunately, Gopalan Nair's previous utterances were as prescient as the stock tips from the inmates of IMH.

Don't think that the market will react as what he has written or that investors will depart in swarms. The stock market will behave as any normal day taking in the news of the day as they come in. The market probably already discounted any such impending bad news, as it normally did. The Old Man contributes only strategically and not in the detailed tactical decisions of everyday. What is likely to be changed is PAP's internal process of choosing its next leader.

Still alive and kicking, but frailer as the days go by.

As long as you dun see the old man on the ground, it means that he is confident that PAP will win this BE.

Born in 1923, so should be turning 90 this year.

90 is a nice, round number. I expect the presstitutes to have a field day wishing him happy birthday this September... if he's still alive.

I thought a caught a glimpse of him in Parliament recently when "harimau" was the speaker?? he didn't get get up & go to toilet, the last time, 'rin tin tin' spoke! He will live till 2015...his 'baby' is 50 that year & they will unveil a huge statue of him maybe??

If PAP lose this BE, he will jump out of his stronghold.

TS is always speculating
wishing and hoping
something bad will happen to Singapore
cursing and chanting for our early demise
wishing against all odds
the death of the little red dot
he will be utterly disappointed
why care so much this tiny place
when he is in heaven far far away

Sawadee kap kopiuncle ! Where's the best coffee-o in sinkeeland ?

Why give credence to someone who cannot even get a person's age correct?
This is the problem with the group of voters who are motivated by personal axes to grind. The facts be damned!

it's easy to criticize and malign
when you are in haven far away
being vindictive and sarcastic
vitriolic and caustic
nobody will give you a damn
a hero will come home
stay and fight his stand
not run away faraway
spout from the anal end

How come this time didnt say don't vote pap PE will have few years to repent???
