KNNBPCB...dis fuckin GMS really damn fuckup... recently he kpkb abt WP being a big bully, refuse to discuss and yield Moulmein-Kallang GRC to him,....but now he also do the same thing back to RP...refuses to discuss with KJ and ask KJ to go fuck dog.... issn't he a damn fucking hypocrite? dis GMS is a real fuckup fella, his party shld remove him immediately and replace dis fat fucktard with tony or hazel, then NSP will really have chance in this election. :oIo:

THE National Solidarity Party (NSP) has so far shown no sign of taking up a proposal by Reform Party (RP) chief Kenneth Jeyaretnam over the weekend.

He had said that if the NSP gave up Pioneer and Radin Mas constituencies, the RP would give up Chua Chu Kang.

Both opposition parties are keen to take on the incumbent People's Action Party in the three wards, but if neither gives way, three-cornered fights will result in the upcoming hustings.

At a walkabout in Teck Whye Avenue yesterday, which is in Chua Chu Kang, Mr Jeyaretnam told The Straits Times: 'I've previously told (NSP chief) Goh Meng Seng we'll give up Chua Chu Kang if NSP gives up Pioneer and Radin Mas to us, and he agreed.'

But the situation has not changed.

On Sunday, Mr Goh confirmed that Mr Jeyaretnam had indeed proposed it at the opposition pow-wow last month, but denied that he had agreed. He said: 'My stand then was very simple: We would consider this. But no commitment was made. At this moment, we are not going to comment further.'

RP has set its sights on two GRCs - Chua Chu Kang and West Coast - and the single wards Pioneer, Radin Mas and Hong Kah North.

To me it is just another telltale sign that RP does not have the numbers of candidates to field in the GRCs that it had earlier claimed. It is just trying to make a virtue of that by saying it would be prepared to trade CCK GRC for 2 SMCs. Of course NSP should reject that. IMO, Steve Chia at Pioneer stands a beter chance than KJ. The RP, as the new party should make all the compromises, and not the other way round.

RP is a party deprived of manpower and resources. It is they who should back down. Either that, or 3 cornered fight. I am perfectly OK with that. Let the voters choose which is the better party.

If that's the case, I think the bigger parties should let RP contest the two seats, not too many they're asking. These are both new SMCs anyway and there're ten more around, or eight more minus opposition incumbency in Potong Pasir and Hougang. I also estimate RP couldn't field a GRC team after the recent defections. Most probably, only KJ and Alex Tok will stand.

Yes, and if KJ comes out with money to sponsor these people standing and contesting GRC for the sake of it, they'll not only give PAP good margin of victory, they'll also destroy RP reputation for good.

That is my feeling too. That a team they put together for West Coast GRC woud be quite lightweight and purely as a face-facing gesture. I am pretty certain now that RP will not field a team in CCK, but it will probably say something to the effect that for opposition unity they will give way there to NSP.

Don't they understand that CCK GRC can be turn into a hotbed precisely for the fact that Gan Kim Yong is the main man holding the fort. Think he is minister in charge of MOM, his ministry is the one that have allowed so many foreigners in to snatch the jobs of locals. They should attack Gan on this, if they can't fight the PAP on the macro level then at least attack the ministar at the micro level.
