PETALING JAYA - For two years, a 11-year-old girl suffered sexual abuse at the hands of her mother's boyfriend before she had the courage to speak up.
The girl, the eldest of three siblings, was allegedly abused by the 28-year-old unemployed man whenever her mother, who works as a masseuse, was not home.
Petaling Jaya Deputy OCPD Supt Tuah Masrom said the man had been forcing himself on the girl since he moved in with the mother at the family's apartment at Kota Damansara two years ago.
"He allegedly forced her to have oral sex with him and molested her," he told reporters here yesterday.
The girl's ordeal finally came to light after she told a teacher, who had been concerned about her anti-social behaviour, about the abuse.
Following the information from the teacher and a police report from the doctor who examined the girl, police arrested the man at his parents' house in Klang at 10am yesterday, said Supt Tuah.
He said the girl's 48-year-old mother, a three-time divorcee, had no knowledge of the abuse.
