这确实是一个遗憾

但令人惊喜的是

最近陈文麟又一影照被发现!

昨日,厦门闽南文化研究者李世伟向本报记者展示了一张珍贵的图片:1929年6月23日出版的《京报图画周刊》上刊登的陈文麟全身影照,配有“大飞行家陈文麟驾机回国抵闽”的标题。

1929年,陈文麟驾驶“厦门号”从英国飞回中国厦门,创造了跨洲飞行3万里的壮举,引起海内外航空界的关注。

当时全国媒体争相报道,南京飞行杂志社《中国航空沿革》一文评价他是“成功完成国际飞行的第一个中国人”

与他的飞行故事

李世伟介绍,陈文麟是个土生土长的厦门人,幼时在鼓浪屿福民小学读书,毕业后进入英华书院学习,高中没毕业就到设在鼓浪屿的丹麦大北电报局当个小职员。1922年,22岁的陈文麟赴德国陆军学校学习。1926年归国,适逢厦门中华中学校长陈金方正在组织学生军,陈文麟应聘担任了该校学生军总指挥。学生军解散后,正当他为前途发愁时,陈金方积极鼓励和引导他到国外学习飞行技术,将来报效国家。此时厦门军界也对陈文麟的举动十分赞赏,由军方出资送他再度赴德国航空学校深造。

李世伟说,陈文麟的这段经历是陈金方的侄子、原厦门二中老师郑梦熊向他讲述的。

跨洲飞行 惊险连连

1928年,学成归来的陈文麟被委任为厦门航空处筹备员,并奉命赴欧洲购买四架飞机。原计划是用船把飞行运回厦门,但陈文麟执意要亲自驾一架飞机回国。于是由当局出面与沿途10多个国家交涉,促成跨洲飞行回国之事。

1929年,陈文麟携丹麦飞行员约翰逊,驾驶命名为“厦门号”的飞机从英国伦敦出发,途中历经3次险情,6次损坏,外加陈文麟在缅甸当时的首都仰光发疟疾,以及在世界各大城市停留游览,实际飞了28天,回到国内。

1929年5月12日上午,飞机先抵达广州,然后在下午2时45分飞抵厦门五通,后因欢迎大会场所设在曾厝垵,飞机在3时15分飞抵曾厝垵机场,受到厦门各界的热烈欢迎。全国各地媒体争先报道,陈文麟成为轰动一时的名人。

1998年9月由大象出版社出版的《中国近代航空史》“民间航空活动”一章中记载:在德国学习飞行的陈文麟于1929年3月13日驾机从英国出发,经过德国、比利时、法国、希腊、伊朗、印度、泰国、越南等国,5月12日飞到厦门,航程约15000公里。他是成功完成国际长途飞行的第一个中国人。

尽管陈文麟已是历史公众人物,但他的影照却寥寥无几,最常见的只有一张身穿航空兵制服的标准照。

因此,这次李世伟意外发现的《京报图画周刊》,在重要位置刊发陈文麟驾机回国的消息和全身影照,实属罕见。

厦门走在中国航空事业前列

厦门社科院鼓浪屿国际研究中心学者詹朝霞说,厦门的航空发展起步较早,机场建得也较早,可以说是走在了中国航空事业的前列。而陈文麟是厦门航空事业的直接推进者。

詹朝霞说:“今天,从英国伦敦直飞中国,只需要十几个小时。1929年,厦门人陈文麟驾驶‘厦门号’从英国伦敦飞到中国厦门,用了60天的时间,实际飞行28天。也许我们会觉得陈飞麟不是飞得太快而是太慢了。可是如果时间倒流90年,我们就知道,陈文麟这次跨洲飞行是多么了不起的一件事。”

詹朝霞说,20世纪20年代末,大多数中国人还不知道飞机为何物。宋美龄与陈纳德的“飞虎队”还遥不可及。陈文麟驾驶“厦门号”飞越太平洋,飞行3万里,穿越欧亚十数个国家,对中国飞行界来说具有重大的意义。

据她介绍,此后两三年间,陈文麟经常驾驶“厦门号”参加厦门全市性的大规模活动,如国货展览会开幕,厦门——香港游泳大赛揭幕等,陈文麟都应邀驾驶“厦门号”在上空盘旋翱翔,以示祝贺,并散发宣传品、纪念品。

相关资料记载,1933年春,“厦门号”经改造易名“江鹊号”,“江鹊号”延用了原“厦门号”的马达,机身构造与“厦门号”略有不同,由航空处机务科长潘鼎新设计,技工屈维榕绘图。机身与机上的机械和设备,全部在厦门加工制造,经历三个多月完成。改造完成后的飞机时速约45公里,可连续航行6小时,经陈文麟试飞,甚为满意。7月19日,航空处招待厦门新闻界前往参观,由陈文麟驾驶新机在空中表演各种飞行动作约40分钟。

1933年7月20日清晨5时30分,陈文麟偕同技工长王升海驾驶“江鹊号”自厦门曾厝垵机场启航,开始全国飞行的壮举。陈文麟经福州、杭州、上海、南京、徐州、济南、天津、北平、保定、石家庄、彰德、郑州、驻马店、汉口、安庆,然后转口南京,上海。10月12日,又从上海起飞,经杭州、福州,于10月22日上午10时降落曾厝垵机场。

当天下午,曾厝垵机场再次举行盛大的欢迎仪式,共三十多个团体,五六百人齐聚曾厝垵,欢迎成功驾机飞行全国的陈文麟和王升海。欢迎会主席刘正平在致辞中说,此会的重大意义有三点:

第一,时局已日趋严重,世界大战预兆已临头,航空救国,于国防上实为重大;

第二,陈处长所驾江鹊机,系厦门航空处自造,驾自造飞机,飞行全国,这是头一遭看见。实为中国航空史上光荣之事;

第三,中国人能驾自造飞机,作全国飞行,这证明中国人能力不在欧州人之下,亦使老大国脸孔上多点光荣。

陈文麟则表示此次环飞全国的最大目的在于宣传我国航空事业,有两点须注意,一是能研究自造飞机,使中国不必全靠外国,将来逐渐有完整制造厂。二是驾驶人才的培训。

Li Shiwei introduced that Chen Wenlin was a native of Xiamen. He studied at Gulangyu Fumin Primary School when he was a child. After graduation, he entered Yinghua College. When he graduated from high school, he was a small staff member at the Danbei Telegraph Bureau in Gulangyu. In 1922, 22-year-old Chen Wenlin went to the German Army School to study. Returning to China in 1926, Chen Jinfang, the head of Xiamen Zhonghua Middle School, was organizing a student army. Chen Wenlin was appointed as the student commander of the school. After the dissolution of the student army, just as he was worried about his future, Chen Jinfang actively encouraged and guided him to study flight technology abroad and serve the country in the future. At this time, the Xiamen military community also appreciated Chen Wenlin’s move. The military funded him to go to the German aviation school for further study.

Li Shiwei said that Chen Wenlin’s experience was told by Chen Jinfang’s nephew and former Xiamen Second Middle School teacher Zheng Mengxiong.

Intercontinental flight

In 1928, Chen Wenlin, who returned from Xuecheng, was appointed as the preparatory member of the Xiamen Aviation Department and was ordered to go to Europe to purchase four planes. The original plan was to ship the flight back to Xiamen by boat, but Chen Wenlin insisted on personally driving a plane back to China. Therefore, the authorities came forward to negotiate with more than 10 countries along the way, which led to the return of the intercontinental flight.

In 1929, Chen Wenlin and Danish pilot Johnson drove the plane named "Xiamen" from London, England. After three dangerous situations, six damages, plus Chen Wenlin's malaria in the capital of Myanmar, Yangon, and the world's major The city stayed in the tour and actually flew for 28 days and returned to China.

On the morning of May 12, 1929, the plane arrived in Guangzhou first, then arrived at Xiamen Wutong at 2:45 pm. France, Greece, Iran, India, Thailand, Vietnam and other countries flew to Xiamen on May 12 with a range of 15,000 kilometers. He is the first Chinese to successfully complete an international long-haul flight.

Although Chen Wenlin is a historical public figure, his photos are few and far between. The most common one is a standard photo wearing an aviation uniform.

In 1929, Xiamen-based Chen Wenlin drove the 'Xiamen' flight from London, England to Xiamen, China, and spent 60 days, actually flying 28 Maybe we think that Chen Feilin is not flying too fast but it is too slow. Chen Wenlin drove the "Xiamen" over the Pacific Ocean, flying 30,000 miles, crossing dozens of countries in Europe and Asia, which is of great significance to the Chinese flight industry.

According to her, in the next two or three years, Chen Wenlin often drove the “Xiamen” to participate in Xiamen's large-scale activities in the city. For example, the opening of the China Commodity Exhibition and the opening of the Xiamen-Hong Kong Swimming Competition, Chen Wenlin was invited to drive the “Xiamen” in the sky. According to relevant information, in the spring of 1933, the "Xiamen" was renamed "Jiangyan", and the "Jiangyan" extended the original "Xiamen" motor. At 5:30 on the morning of July 20, 1933, Chen Wenlin and the technician, Wang Shenghai, drove the "Jiangyan" from Xiamen Zengcuo Airport and set off a national flight feat. Chen Wenlin passed through Fuzhou, Hangzhou, Shanghai, Nanjing, Xuzhou, Jinan, Tianjin, Beiping, Baoding, Shijiazhuang, Zhangde, Zhengzhou, Zhumadian, Hankou and Anqing, and then re-exported to Nanjing and Shanghai. On October 12, it took off from Shanghai and passed through Hangzhou and Fuzhou. It landed at Zengcuo Airport at 10 am on October 22.

In the afternoon, Zengcuo Airport held another grand welcoming ceremony. More than 30 groups, five or six hundred people gathered in Zeng Yi, and welcomed Chen Wenlin and Wang Shenghai who successfully sailed across the country. President Liu Zhengping said in his speech that the significance of this meeting has three points:

First, the current situation has become increasingly serious. The omen of the world war has come to an end. Aviation saves the country and it is really important in national defense.

Second, Director Chen’s drive was carried out by the Xiamen Aviation Department. He built the aircraft and flew the country. This was the first time he saw it. It is a glorious thing in the history of Chinese aviation;

Third, the Chinese can drive their own planes and make national flights. This proves that the Chinese people are not under the Europeans, and they have made the face of the big country more glorious.

Chen Wenlin said that the biggest goal of flying around the country is to publicize China's aviation industry. There are two points to note. First, it is possible to study self-built aircraft so that China does not have to rely entirely on foreign countries, and there will gradually be a complete manufacturing plant in the future.
