Thank you PM, for lesson in learning

I WOULD like to thank Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong for his letter, 'Puzzle solved 50 years later, thanks to ST photo story' (May 4).
It serves to remind all of us - both young and old - that learning is a lifelong endeavour, even for the Prime Minister of Singapore.
The photo also caught my attention - partly because of the contradiction of seemingly old-world scene captured in a modern day photo, and partly because the practice itself fascinated me.

too many of these ghost writers around or what we called them 拍马屁. They wrote article without value added and merely echoing what the original writer had said without any personal experiences to it or having personally experienced it. Writing for the sake of writing and worse, writing with a hidden agenda to please. That is the last thing one should consider cos the written wordings will be biased and not truthful

拍马屁 is verb, the noun is 马屁精.

Learning alone is futile if other issues is not addressed .
Like bread and butter issues .

Profitability and long term sustainability .
