Is it true that as people get older and death gets nearer, they become more pensive, reflective and philosophical?

Do they realise that death escapes no man and disability escapes only some, even though they have been rich, powerful and protected all their lives?

Or do they get pensive, reflective and philosophical in order to generate some last minute good karma?

try doing this. Take a blank paper, draw an xy axes, y axis being the timeline, x axis being the lows and highs in life so far ..... assuming a deadline at 85/90 yrs old (whichever year you wish to die).... see how much you have done and how much time you have left.

how to be not reflective? I think it's a good thing ...
