Ban on three Hezbollah-affiliated clubs in Germany!
Since early this morning, the police have been taking action against three associations that are said to be affiliated with the Lebanese terrorist organization “Hezbollah” (translated: “Party of God”). According to BILD information, “search and seizure measures” are currently taking place in Bremen, Hamburg, Hesse, Lower Saxony, North Rhine-Westphalia, Rhineland-Palatinate and Schleswig-Holstein.
These are the associations “German Lebanese Family e.V.”, “Menschen für Menschen e.V.” and “Gib Frieden e.V.”. Federal Interior Minister Horst Seehofer (71, CSU) now announces: These associations will be dissolved!
Reason: They are proxy organizations of the Hezbollah-affiliated association “Orphan Child Project Lebanon e.V.”, which was banned in 2014, later renamed “Colors for Orphans e.V.”. They have the same structures, leaders and address the same groups of people.
These associations also pretended to collect donations for supposedly charitable purposes in Lebanon and to arrange sponsorships for orphans, as the Federal Ministry of the Interior announced.
But in truth, the associations are concerned with something else: the acquisition of donations for Hezbollah.
The three banned associations are said to have collected donations and sponsored Hezbollah “martyr families”. The aim of the clubs was to promote Hezbollah’s fight against Israel, which goes against the idea of international understanding, the ministry said. The certainty that the bereaved would receive financial support in the event of their death increases the willingness of young Hezbollah supporters to take part in the fight against Israel.
Seehofer banned the German offshoot of Hezbollah in April 2020. In Germany, it had just under 1,050 Islamist supporters. At that time, too, Seehofer had the premises of mosque associations and Islamic centers in Berlin, Bremen, Münster and Dortmund searched early in the morning. The allegations: Supporting the international terror network by collecting donations, recruiting sympathizers and providing logistics.
Seehofer said: “Anyone who supports terror will not be safe in Germany. Regardless of the guise in which his supporters appear, they will not find a place of retreat in our country.”
