Cologne | ots | On Saturday morning, the federal police arrested a 21-year-old Moroccan man at Cologne Central Station after he exposed his genitals and committed obscene acts towards a 33-year-old woman from Troisdorf. He then had to answer to a magistrate.
At around 6 a.m. on Saturday morning (May 14), the federal police intervened at the main train station in Cologne when a fight was reported. On site, however, the situation developed differently from what had been expected: two people had been shoving each other on the platform and arguing loudly.
A 33-year-old employee of Deutsche Bahn AG alerted the Federal Police via her radio. Meanwhile, a third party turned to her, unbuttoned his pants, exposed his privates and manipulated them in her direction. Visibly shocked, the 33-year-old described the situation to the officers who had arrived.
The accused was not aware of any guilt and stated that this was “normal in Germany” and then insulted the emergency services. The federal police officers temporarily arrested the homeless man in an accelerated procedure and brought him before a magistrate for exhibitionist acts. A video evaluation was initiated and added to the evidence. The magistrate’s decision: imprisonment.
