He made a blunder BIG TIME & pissed off the big boys.

That's partly the fault of world highest ministerial salaries, they started to think that they are bigger than the ministers of the superpowers. Their obscene salaries confused their own minds and they think this tiny red dot was as HUGE as their own pay cheques.
