GE: Tin Pei Ling unveils MacPherson plans !

Apart from wellness programmes and ensuring that the elderly has access to amenities and basic needs, Ms Tin also proposed free lunch and subsidised healthcare for this group of residents.

For the young, she will kickstart a series of consultation sessions to engage them and to empower them to act on their ideas.

Measures to help the elderly and the low-income also include a greater use of the ComCare Emergency Fund to allow more people to benefit from it.

Ms Tin said: "I will also raise resources and install energy-saving light bulbs for our low income families because in the long run it will help them save on cost for utilities."
