But it's not workable as Bibi wanted a Jewish majority state while Hamas a secular state. Currently there are 7 million Israelis and 7 million Palestinians.

Rumour was netanyahu allowed it to occur. Then idf killed many of the victims but put the blame on hamas. Those charred bodied were by killed by either tank fire or hellfire misslies from apache helicopters. Hamas could only bring rifles and at most, anti tank weapons. Anyway, israel did not investigate ause of death and quickly buried tgeir dead.
700 idf soldiers who died of course were killed by hamas. But the rest, not clear.
