'Gay' Sex Education Book Targets Children as Young as 2
Monday , May 04, 2009
A book that teaches children how lesbian moms get pregnant using sperm donors is targeting kids as young as 2.
The controversial Australian publication — called "Where Did I Really Come From?" — also features a drawing of two gay men holding a baby in a chapter about surrogacy.
The publisher of the gay sex ed book, which includes in-depth descriptions of sexual intercourse, bills it as suitable for toddlers.
It was being advertised at some Sydney, Australia book stores, as well as on the inside of the book cover, as being part of the New South Wales Attorney General Office's "Learn to Include" sexual education program, the Daily Telegraph reported Monday.
But Attorney General John Hatzistergos said his office is not connected to the book.
"The NSW Government has not funded or endorsed the book at any time," he said. "Any assertion to the contrary is incorrect."
