Game addict commits suicide after killing mum

A 15-year-old boy in South Korea committed suicide after killing his mother in a fight over internet games. Police official Jung Yo-il said the student hanged himself after strangling his 43-year old mother who had scolded him over excessive computer game playing, in their home in the south-eastern port city of Busan.
The Student revealed in a suicide note that he killed his mother during a row about internet games. The boy's 12-year old sister told police that he had been playing violent internet games over the past two to three years. She said her mother and brother often had fights about his game addiction. It has been estimated that some two million people are internet addicts. The country is considered one of the world's most technologically wired, with more than 90% of homes having broadband internet access.
