Fuel supply at kiosk ‘cut off’
GUA MUSANG: Motorists who went to a petrol kiosk at the Felda Aring Satu land scheme were shocked to see the petrol pump ripped off and an electrical cable hanging loosely from it.
It is believed a group of thieves had tried to prise off the pump to steal copper wire, but abandoned their plan when they could not cut the electrical cable connected to it.
Kedai D’Mart Felda Trading Sdn Bhd owner Suraidi Yusoff said he was informed about the damage at about 7am yesterday when a settler went there to refuel his motorcycle.
“I rushed there and saw the pump lying on its side.
The thieves had removed the bolts used to fasten the pump to the floor, but failed to rip it off because of the electrical cable,” he said.
He said the petrol pump did not belong to him but he helped to monitor it because it was in front of his shop.
