Rude Cisco officer shouts at friend and issues parking fine

In an email sent to STOMP today (Jan 9), the STOMPer wrote about the incident which occurred on Dec 8, 2009.

“My friend was on duty, assisting an NEA officer doing some fumigation work along Tagore Lane, industrial park.


“His vehicle was parked very close to the kerb along the stretch of road where he wasn't obstructing any traffic along the stretch of road.


“Before the officer approached my friend, my friend witnessed the officer loudly and rudely told off another vehicle owner a distance away.

“After the officer done with his scoldings, he approached my friend and did the same thing.


“My friend explained to the officer that he was currently assisting the officer with the work at the factory next to the road.


“He then parked his motorcycle, took out a camera, a file and approached my friend.


“My friend then came out of the vehicle to stop him from taking photo of his vehicle. My friend tried to explain to the officer but he refused to listen.

“The officer stood very close and intimidated my friend not to touch him. My friend did not do anything until the officer starts to push him on his chest.


“My friend did not retaliate to his action. The officer still issued a parking ticket to my friend after the incident. He then took a photo of my friend's vehicle license plate before leaving the place.

“My friend went to lodge a police report after the incident but the police post officer advised him to call Cisco as it was not their concern. My friend then called up Cisco calling centre to lodge a report.


“The officer told my friend that they will look into the matter.

I have similar bad experience with CISCO Traffic Warden, rude and refuse to listen, this is the result of URA/TP out source, they are highly productive in issuing summons, probably can make commission or fufill their quotas.

In the first place , if your friend had park in a proper parking lot , he wouldnt need for the cisco to give him a chance.
Your friend is getting paid to fumigation job, so why did he need to park illegally.

Not just ftrash in CISCO; you cannot believe the amount of local trash that gets to be employed there. That is not even counting the bunch at Changi Airport. The general mentality of these trash thinks that in their uniform; it is as good as a mata with a warrant card and starts to throw their weight around.

I guess HR never really vet their applicant and any Tom Dick & Harry literally ends up there.

One thing is very obvious, changing their name from CISCO to Certis Cisco doesn't improve their image at all. It only cheapens themselves more.

This is actually the best part of the joke about our own police force. It is very evident they are playing taichi here and the complainant guai guai listening to these mata kias.

Being intimidated whether by an individual or an individual in uniform supposedly representing an organisation. The proper way is still to lodge a police report. Now this fella will get no reply from this bunch of jokers and the mat will get away with it literally.
