大陸貴州一名男子日前半夜下班回家，抵家時發現忘了帶鑰匙，家裡也沒人在，由於當時已是深夜，疲倦的他只好到附近一間小旅館暫住一晚。進房之後他先去上廁所，突然間馬桶爆裂，坐在上面的他整個臀部被割傷當場濺血，送醫急救後發現傷口深達8公分，目前無生命危險；對此旅館方面回應，應是男子「操作不當」所導致，雙方針對賠償事宜還無共識。
根據大陸媒體報導，貴州貴陽一名彭姓男子，8日深夜下班後因忘記帶鑰匙無法進家門，於是只好到附近一名「鴻強賓館」投宿過夜。進入房間之後，稍微整理一下準備入睡前，他先去上廁所。
就在上廁所的過程中，陶瓷馬桶突然裂開，彭男的屁股直接被劃出2道極深的傷口，當場鮮血狂噴，場面十分凌亂。當下他強忍劇烈疼痛，立刻跑下旅館並搭救護車到醫院急救。

經過院方緊急處理，發現彭男身上的2道傷口分別有7公分和8公分，隨後採取手術。手術過程2個小時，一共縫了幾十針，最後醫師建議住院觀察治療，光是手術費就花了4千人民幣(約新台幣1.8萬元)。
這件事發生之後，旅館的處理態度讓彭男和家屬十分不滿，直批店家「不負責任！」旅館負責人表示，「那個馬桶坐是坐不爛的，他肯定是蹲上去的，是他操作不當導致的，而且他去醫院的時候，也不給我們前台說一聲。」
聽到旅館這樣說，彭男和母親覺得十分可笑，他強調自己並未蹲在馬桶上，就算蹲上去了，馬桶爛了代表它的品質有問題，並非自己操作不當，旅館應負完全責任。目前彭男提出醫療費由旅館負責，後續賠償等康復之後再討論，但這提議遭到旅館負責人拒絕。目前彭男已向警方報案，並認為是對方推卸責任，雙方還在協調當中。
