STOMPer Ritesh was disgusted by what he saw during one his walks.

Said the STOMPer in an email to STOMP yesterday (August 10):

“Although I'm not Singaporean and very new to Singapore, I was disgusted with the lack of knowledge amongst Singaporeans about the respect for the national flag.

“We all talk about the nation’s pride and feel proud to be Singaporean but when it comes down to reality, who really takes care of our nation’s pride?

“The national flag is meant to be respected by everyone. On the 43rd National Day, I saw millions of Singaporeans putting the national flag all around showing the bound of unity.

“But do we really respect the national flag? If yes, then we should know and should be well educated about respecting the national flag.

“The morning after our 43rd National Day, I took a walk from Punggol to Sengkang and saw many flags lying around in extremely bad condition.

“I make a request to all citizens to respect the national flag and not to bring dishonour to it. Hopefully next time, all citizens will take care of our national pride."

SINGAPORE: The wife of Minister Mentor Lee Kuan Yew was admitted to the neuro-intensive care unit (NCU) at Tan Tock Seng Hospital this week.

A statement from the Minister Mentor's Office said Mrs Lee, 87, suffered sudden weakness on her left side and slurring of speech around noon on Monday.

She was then taken to the National Neuroscience Institute for an urgent brain scan. The results revealed massive right intra-cerebral haemorrhage, and Mrs Lee was subsequently admitted to the NCU.

The haemorrhage stabilised after two days of close monitoring and treatment. She was then transferred to the general ward on Wednesday.

Mrs Lee currently remains in serious condition although she is able to recognise immediate family members. - CNA/ac

First, u've some Amit, then Manish and now Ritesh. It seems that the Indian FTrash are out to create trouble and take over power. No wonder the Fijians decided to kick them out in 2000 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2000_Fijian_coup_d%27%C3%A9tat). Really, dun be surprised in 20XX, Peesai would see Indian FTrash forming more than half of the population and seizing power from the Familee! Except that, unlike the Fijians, the coolie rice bowlers will meekly accept it!

Citizens have been treated like foreigners while foreigners have been treated like citizens.

National flag has no meaning in S'pore and the Constitution has no meaning to S'poreans as it has been hijacked by Parliament.
