Neighbour hangs underwear all over common corridor railing
STOMPer Gillian is frustrated that her neighbour keeps hanging underwear along the railing at the common corridor of her Serangoon flat.
In an email to STOMP today (Dec 5), the STOMPer says:
“This resident from Blk 204 Serangoon Central likes to hang their underwear/bras and sarong along the common corridor walkway railing.
“Those bras/underwear are so old, dark and dirty looking. They look like many pieces of rags hanging on the railing.
“I believe this resident is not the owner of the house. It is rented out to some women, and the whole house stinks.
“I don’t understand why they don’t feel uneasy to let people see their bras/underwear.
"Please take note that instead of placing clothes outside their own unit, they spread it out across four units.
“It is really disgusting. I wonder if it’s because they don’t have money to buy bamboo sticks to hang their clothes. I don’t even mind sponsoring them the sticks.
“Can you imagine every day when you open the door and see the ugly, dark, dirty underwear? It's so unlucky.
“I once asked them to remove their clothes on the railing and they immediately removed it, but then the next day, they did it again. They have gone overbroad so therefore I have no choice but to complain about them.
“I have emailed HDB and Town Council. Still waiting for their reply.”
