I’ve just plotted the annual labour productivity growth vs FT population growth. There is clearly a correlation between increase in FT population vs lowering of our productivity.
I'm just wondering how cum our a-class scholar ministers can't see it?

obviously productivity will drop...more FTs mean more competition for jobs, knowing Sinkies nature and also the very high cost of living and the ever difficult to please SG girl and also the need for Reservist, many will try to stay in one job for as long as possible until being retrench or when shit hits the fan (usual excuse: got mouth to feed)...the more you stay in one job, the less exposure and experience one gets, not saying job hopping is good, but its good to embrace some change...imagine any HR manager looking one's resume and he is in his 30s with only exposure to one job, i dont know but I will definitely not hire him...

Govt will not care, most of us esp those in the early 30s and 40s come from the LKY stop at 2 policy, so when the parents pass away, we can inherit a $400K on average and still going up 4 room hole, if sold, that gives $200K per sibling, or alternatively can also rent the house out for $2K a month...our government is cruel, but really practical...

Because all you want is cheap .

How can cheap salaryman afford to spend more .Then rely on tourists ?

salaryman will then lend and lend lor anyway credit rates in SG is quite affordable...how many people we know below 40 years old can actually buy a car using cash...integrating FT no doubt is a good idea, but who is to check on their qualifications? Many use the "hun shui mor yu" style, and other than the skilled trade group of FT, many others are con job and their knowledge and performance shows big gap (e.g. for India FTs their poly or pretertiary schools instead of issuing diplomas, all will issue "degrees", so technically these FTs only have diploma level skill and knowledge)...what surprises me most is that many FTs lack the ability to read and write English at an acceptable level, but yet they are skill employed...sad years indeed...

This is what pissed me off the sky high .

The ruling party regime sets ridiculous education structure and requirements .
For what does it served ?
Almost burn-out our children then allow these FTs into our system but never
partaking in the grinding system . Only some .
Doesn't it make you feel cheated or stupid .
