A foreigner who recently became a Singaporean Citizen recently stated on Facebook how Singaporeans are lazy, cowards and spoilt. He went even stated that without the government, Singaporeans will die.

After live in Singapore for more than 5 years, I conclude Singapore people are spoil, childist and take good life for granted. All they know to do is use their mouth to complain but no take action to improve. Let me tell you what I see and hear in this country.
Scared to lose and want face so much. Or “kiasu”. The mothers here always compare between their children. If child score good marks in exam, mother will try tell the whole Singapore. Take picture of exam paper and send her friends. And look down on people who score bad marks. Singapore people think themselves and their children very clever, very smart, but they never go see other countries, China, India, USA, even Thailand or Indonesia, many people there very more clever than Singapore people. But they never tell whole world, very humble. Singapore people need to learn from them.
The new mothers here are quite stupid and believe things easily. If milk powder brand put “IQ” or something they think must be good for baby, make baby more clever. They spend $100 buy 1 tin. My wife and me laugh when we saw this. Very easy to earn Singapore people money.
People here are too lazy. Mother and father want to put their child in a “good” primary school, but think walk 10more minutes is too far. 10 minutes is too far??? I cannot believe it. Many countries the students have to travel hours and hours to go school. Even in winter. Students in Malaysia wake up at 4am to come school here. We must make our children suffer more so they can survive.

Singapore people think their money is very big, but lazy when they do work. Give maid a few hundred salary expect her to work like horse every day, clean everything. Not happy, complain and send back to maid agency. But when Singapore person take salary and work in company, never work like horse, but lazy like pig. Go for 2hour lunch, tea time, talking about non-work things in office, laughing. I conclude Singapore people always work overtime not because they hardworking, but because they waste their office time doing other things. Most unefficient people I know. They must learn from Germany, the people there only do serious work during office time and go home on time.
People also complain no career progress, salary very poor. But when boss asks to go overseas, people don’t want, only want to stay in Singapore. You tell me, how to career progress, how to increase salary? I conclude people here are cowards, lazy and ignore. In other countries, people move everywhere is very common. That is how we become better.
People here complain about covid19 situation, why the foreign worker dormitory so crowded. It is so crowded because people don’t want pay more construction fees, don’t want pay more town council fees, want the dormitory far far away from their house. That is why no choice have to put the foreign workers crowded together. But people only know to complain and selfish, they never look at themselves who cause this problem.
I hear people here say they first class citizens. First class is not because of people, but because government here take very good care of people. We move here because it is a very nice country, because the government is very really good. Make Singapore very safe, clean, efficient, beautiful. And give good opportunities. We can improve our English here. Singapore people think they very capable, very clever, but it is government makes them good. Without government, Singapore people will die. They cannot survive in this world. They must know they only born in right country Singapore, but many ways they are worse than people in other developing country.
My child used only 1 month to learn how to sing the Singapore song, Majulah Singapura. It is in malay and we never know malay. But my child put in effort to learn. But I know many Singapore children cannot sing the song properly. Why? I conclude they too lazy to learn properly. I think is it because their mother and father too lazy to teach properly? Very sad. We should be proud of national song.
There are many other things I see about Singapore people, but I think it is too long. I am scared write this in facebook because people will be very angry and ask government take away my Singapore citizenship. I am new citizen but I am proud of Singapore. Election coming, I will vote for government. I hope Singapore people will treasure what they have and not be so lazy and pamper.

After travelling around and doing business in many countries personally, I think he is absolutely right. We are nothing but a spoilt, soft people afraid of the hard life.
after been born and work in sg for 21 years this is my own experiences on this, its 50/50 depend which side of the road are u.
many sgrean are very lazy and they use their position to make those lower rank do their shitty job and they will act "busy" behind the computer. they will backstab u from behind and smile at u.
and many too are very hardworking and in singapore if u are a nice person u will be eaten and spit out after they are done with u normally this group are the lower rank in the company.
and trust me my own working experience in singapore many local born sgrean their working attitude not good (look at the above) only afew are really nice people and i still keep contact with them.
and i ever work i a company where the majority of the staff are foreigners and they really treat me like human being and dont take advantage of me unlike most local born.
