France has received the names and details of many suspected tax evaders with Swiss bank accounts.
The French government has said it believes about 3,000 people will be able to be investigated due to a landmark agreement on bank information sharing.
During the week, Switzerland and France signed the agreement, which will give French tax experts access to account numbers and amounts deposited.
Suspected French tax evaders with Swiss accounts will come under scrutiny if they have not declared their assets by December this year.
