An individual armed with a tool attacked and injured passers-by this Saturday morning February 5, 2022, rue Robert-Collet in Le Mans. The man held a Quran in his hand and shouted “Allah akbar.” He then entered the La Foir’Fouille store before being arrested by the police.
The police quickly arrived on the scene to subdue the assailant.

A man threatened and attacked several random passers-by in rue Robert-Collet in Le Mans, near the Carrefour Center Sud shopping center.
Armed with a tool (an adjustable wrench) and holding a Koran in his hand, the individual shouted “Allah akbar” (God is great) several times. He injured three people, but not seriously, according to our sources.
The criminal then entered the La Foir’Fouille store. The police arrived quickly on the spot and then arrested him, not without difficulty, because of the resistance made by the assailant.
