SINGAPORE: Four youths, aged 16 to 19, have been arrested for housebreaking.
On June 1, a 17-year-old youth reported that two men claiming to be CID officers entered his Serangoon North Ave 4 home at about 8.30am.
They assaulted him and tried to steal his father's safe.
The suspects said they wanted to take the safe box with them for investigations.
When the victim tried to stop them, they got into a scuffle. A loud commotion ensued which alerted the neighbours.
The two suspects fled the scene empty-handed.

They will be charged in court on June 8.
