Hong Kong actor Benz Hui showed up to man a stall at AMK Hub.
He was helping to hawk egg tarts, cookies and other baked goods at a booth on April 3 at 5pm to lend support to his daughter's business.
Patrons at the mall whipped out their phones to take photos and videos of the veteran TVB actor, who also posed for pictures with members of the public.
Hui’s daughter, Charmaine, has opened three F&B businesses in Singapore over two years.
The first cafe, Café Bakeaholic, is located at The Springside condominium in Sembawang.
Café Bakeaholic then branched out to Wheelock Place, and Juju, a HK-style cafe, subsequently opened right beside it in March 2022.
Hui, a Singapore permanent resident, told Shin Min Daily News that he was grateful for the support, but downplayed his celebrity status and draw.
He added that he will be present at the booth at basement two of AMK Hub over six evenings till Sunday, April 9.
