SINGAPORE : Former Singapore Olympian and long time sports administrator Tan Eng Yoon died on Saturday morning.
MediaCorp has learnt that Mr Tan was crossing Thomson Road to go to the Church of the Holy Spirit, when he was knocked down by a car at 6.30am.
Mr Tan was 82.
Among his achievements, Mr Tan represented Singapore in the 1956 Melbourne Olympics in the 100 metres sprint event.
He was also the General Secretary of the Football Association of Singapore. - CNA/ms
