A former National Healthcare Group (NHG) IT manager was fined $4,000 and ordered to pay a penalty of $600 on Wednesday for corruption.
Loh Thian Chung, 36, admitted to corruptly getting $400 from graphic designer Lye Pei Ching, 35, working for Orienge and Berlue (O&B), as a reward for inviting her to quote for a NHG IT project.
The payment was made at the void deck of Block 407 Bukit Batok West Avenue 7 on Sept 11, 2008.
The court heard that Loh came to know Ms Lye when she was working at National University Hospital in 2005. She subsequently left to work for her boyfriend's graphic design services firm.
