Foreigners caught in drug bust <!--10 min-->
HONG KONG - HONG Kong police have arrested 10 foreigners - including Britons, Australians and Filipinos - in a drug bust on a sleepy outlying island favored by expatriates. Police spokesman Michael Kwan says officers found 137 grams of marijuana and 30 grams of cocaine worth HK$71,000 Hong Kong dollars (S$12,866) in the operation on Lamma Island early Saturday. Mr Kwan said on Sunday that a 25-year-old British man was charged with selling illegal drugs and that a 42-year-old British man was charged with possessing drugs. He said they were being detained, while the remaining suspects were released on bail. Dealing dangerous drugs in Hong Kong carries a maximum penalty of 15 years in prison, while possession carries a penalty of up to seven years. -- AP
