Foreign women being used to seduce male customers into buying them drinks
In another sex-related report, Kosmo! said foreign women are being used by several night joints in Johor Baru to seduce their male customers into buying them a drink. For instance, the customer would order a drink for the woman – the price could be RM60 a glass – but after less than a minute with the man, the so-called guest relations officer (GRO) leaves with the excuse of having misplaced a handphone or having a headache.
She disappears elsewhere and the man is left to fork out more money to book another woman to entertain him. The paper said these GRO Potong, who are well-trained by the clubs to fleece the male customers, are often younger and better looking than the regular GROs. A victim confessed to a reporter that he was once fleeced of nearly RM500 by a woman who ordered seven “special” drinks and then left in a hurry.
