A 27-year-old man nearly died when he was forced to drink poison by the family of his 16-year-old lover, reported Kosmo! The stepfather, 45, uncle, 39, and elder brother, 17, of his girlfriend from Kampung Gondang, Marang, Terengganu, have been arrested under Section 307 of the Penal Code. On Oct 19, the victim Muda Mohd complained of stomach pains and collapsed in the kitchen of his house in Kampung Lubuk Batu, Wakaf Tapai, Marang. The victim told his family only after he had been taken to Hospital Sultanah Nur Zahirah he was forced to drink poison by a few men. State acting CID chief Supt K. Manoharan said that initial investigations showed that the girlfriend of the victim was related to the suspects.
