This is the first time in the history of General Elections in Singapore that Oppositions have produced better qualified candidates than the incumbent PAP.
PAP used to juggernaut its way over Opposition candidates in terms of academic qualifications and spoken English. But this is no longer the case in the forthcoming General Elections.
Not only do Opposition candidates stand shoulders to shoulders with their PAP counterparts, many are better than the PAP ones.
Nicole Seah of NSP made Tin Pei Ling look like an old baby;
Vincent Wijey of SDP made Tharman look like an obedient puppy;
Chen Shao Mao of WP had George Yeo shitting in his pants;
.... and then we have a President-Scholar General from PAP adopting a public demeanour that carries a spitting image of of our local comedian Mark Lee.
It shows PAP has difficulties finding good candidates. Look at the slate of candidates from NTUC. Most of them have zero oratorical skills and needed an institution like NTUC to help prop up their image.
For the first time, I worry for PAP.
