Food Junction foodcourt at Bugis Junction close shop after 26 years

It's a pity the reopening of our borders happened so late. Otherwise, the foodcourt could have been saved.

Always interesting to find out what replaces a kaput business inside a mall.

For example, in Vivocity, Daiso gave way to a library (Daiso then moved to a smaller shop space on a lower floor), and Giant gave way to NTUC Fairprice Xtra.

It is likely that another food court will replace it, probably NTUC Foodfare or one by Fei Siong group etc.

I think the KFC outlet at Victoria Street was older than 26 years. It too went kaput earlier this year. The shop space is now Jollibee.

There are just too many food court.and people are starting to do own cooking thanks to covid.

Firstly, nothing good and worth eating here.
Too expensive.

I rather walked over to Albert Centre Food Centre to eat.

The kopitiams near the temple are not too bad either. Also, there's a row of eateries in the OG - The Bencoolen area.

If you feel adventurous you can always walk a bit north to Jalan Besar and Little India.

You finally admit that PAP screwed up big time. Not to late to switch camp and join opposition.

that food junction was in the headlines for exorbitant food prices no? Orbi good for shutting down. With WFH these days, who the fuck go patronise there?

next in line? NTUC foodfare who else.

PAP did very well overall. It's not possible for PAP to save every struggling F&B business. If not for the PAP, our death toll from covid would have been in the tens of thousands already.

Yes, Thanks.

Also, nearby Bugis Cube has a few stalls.
The wanton noodle and yong-tau-foo are long queue during lunch time.

The place is quiet after lunch time.
A few cafes there to relax with a cup of kopi too.
